Each year we welcome two or three lambing students (ideally with on-farm lambing experience) to assist us with our indoor lambing of about 350 ewes. We encourage students to be able to take early responsibility for all aspects of the lambing process. We are on hand to give guidance and help when needed and see this as an opportunity for both sides to benefit.

Typically, we would expect to lamb about 80-90% of the flock in the first cycle, so for a relatively short period the workload can be very intense, typical of spring lambing or for that matter spring calving anywhere in the country.

Students live in the family house and enjoy good home cooking throughout.
